NaradSandesh।।फरीदाबाद,28 सितंबर,2023: जे.सी.बोस विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय,वाईएमसीए, फरीदाबाद ने नई प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ वेब-आधारित अनुसंधान सूचना प्रणाली (आईआरआईएनएस) तथा पुस्तक सूची नियंत्रण एवं प्रबंधन के लिए बुक ड्रॉप बॉक्स सुविधा के साथ रेडियो फ्रीक्वेंसी पहचान (आरएफआईडी) प्रणाली लागू करके अनुसंधान और पुस्तकालय सेवाओं को सृदृढ़ करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। विश्वविद्यालय के आंतरिक गुणवत्ता आश्वासन सेल (आईक्यूएसी) के तत्वावधान में विश्वविद्यालय के पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय केंद्रीय पुस्तकालय तथा अनुसंधान एवं विकास अनुभाग द्वारा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में इन नई ई-सुविधाओं का अनावरण किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. सुशील कुमार तोमर और कुरूक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव डॉ. संजीव शर्मा भी मुख्य तौर पर उपस्थित रहे। इस अवसर पर पुस्तकालय अध्यक्ष प्रो. विकास तुर्क, निदेशक (आरएंडडी) डॉ. मनीषा गर्ग और डिप्टी लाइब्रेरियन डॉ. पी.एन. बाजपेयी भी उपस्थित थे।सूचना और पुस्तकालय नेटवर्क (इन्फ्लिबनेट) के सहयोग से विकसित आईआरआईएनएस प्लेटफॉर्म की शुरूआत विश्वविद्यालय की अनुसंधान क्षमताओं को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। यह अत्याधुनिक प्रणाली शिक्षकों को अपने शोध योगदान को पीयर समूह के सामने प्रदर्शित करने तथा राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुदाय के समक्ष उजागर करने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगी, जिससे राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एजेंसियों से शोध के लिए धन अर्जित करने के अवसर बढ़ेंगे। यह शोधार्थियों को संबंधित क्षेत्र में उनके शोध के लिए मार्गदर्शक ढूंढने में सहायता प्रदान कर सकता है। यह पोर्टल विश्वविद्यालय स्तर, विभाग स्तर और व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर शिक्षकों के अनुसंधान योगदान को प्रदर्शित कर सकता है। इसकी सहायता से नैक तथा एनआईआईएफ के लिए उपयोगी डेटा प्राप्त करने में आईक्यूएसी तथा आरएंडडी अनुभाग को मदद मिलेगी।
इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए कुलपति प्रो. तोमर ने कहा कि वर्तमान डिजिटल युग में शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के लिए अपने छात्रों और शिक्षकों के लाभ के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी का उपयोग करना महत्वपूर्ण है। आईआरआईएनएस और आरएफआईडी प्रणाली की शुरूआत विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली अनुसंधान और पुस्तकालय सेवाओं को बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
डॉ. संजीव शर्मा ने शिक्षा और अनुसंधान की बेहतरी के लिए नवीन प्रौद्योगिकी को अपनाने में विश्वविद्यालय के प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि ये प्रगति अकादमिक क्षेत्र के उभरते परिदृश्य के अनुरूप है और निस्संदेह छात्रों, शोधकर्ताओं और शिक्षकों को उनकी गतिविधियों में उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करने के लिए सशक्त बनाएगी। इस दिशा में विश्वविद्यालय ने सराहनीय पहल की है।
इस अवसर पर डिप्टी लाइब्रेरियन डॉ. पी.एन. बाजपेयी ने विश्वविद्यालय पुस्तकालय के व्यापक संग्रह के बारे में जानकारी प्रदान की। उन्होंने बताया कि पुस्तकालय में 86000 से अधिक प्रिंटेड पुस्तकें, 7400 से अधिक ई-पुस्तक शीर्षक और प्रतिष्ठित प्रकाशकों के 3,500 उच्च-गुणवत्ता वाले ई-जर्नल्स का एक्सेस उपलब्ध है। इसके अतिरिक्त, पुस्तकालय में प्रेस रीडर प्लेटफार्म भी उपलब्ध है जो पाठकों को राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पत्रिकाओं और समाचार पत्रों के विशाल भंडार तक पहुंच प्रदान करता है। कार्यक्रम के अंत में डॉ. मनीषा गर्ग ने विश्वविद्यालय की ओर से सभी का आभार व्यक्त किया।
JC Bose University strengthened its Research and Library Services with Cutting-Edge Technology
Faridabad, September 28 – J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, took a significant step towards strengthening its research and library services by introducing a web-based Research Information System IRINS (Indian Research Information Network System) and implementing a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) System for book inventory control and library management. These transformative facilities were unveiled in an event organized by the Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Central Library of the University and R & D section of the University under the Aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University.
The program was graced by Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice-Chancellor of the University and Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Registrar of Kurukshetra University. Chairman Library Prof. Vikas Turk, Dr. Maneesha Garg, Director (R&D) and Deputy Librarian Dr. P.N. Bajpai were present on this occasion.
The introduction of the IRINS platform, developed in collaboration with the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET), represents a pioneering step in advancing the University’s research capabilities. This cutting-edge system will facilitate the faculty members to showcase their research contribution to the peer group, expose their research contributions to the national and international community and may bring funding opportunities from national and international agencies. It can provide immense support to the research scholars to find mentors and advisors for their research in the respective domain. This portal can showcase the research contributions at the University level, department level and individual faculty level. This may be immensely useful to the IQAC and R&D section to provide various data for NAAC and NIRF.
Speaking on this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tomar said that in today’s digital age, it is crucial for academic institutions to harness technology for the benefit of their students and faculty. The introduction of IRINS and the RFID System represents a significant stride towards enhancing the research and library Services the University offers.
Dr. Sanjeev Sharma commended the University’s efforts in adopting innovative technology for the betterment of education and research. He said that these advancements align with the evolving landscape of academia and will undoubtedly empower students, researchers and faculty members to excel in their pursuits. J.C. Bose University sets a commendable example in this regard.
Dr. P.N. Bajpai, Deputy Librarian, provided valuable information about the University Library’s extensive collection, which comprises over 86,000 printed books, more than 7,400 e-book titles, and access to 3,500 high-quality e-journals from reputable publishers. Additionally, the Library boasts the Press Reader Platform, granting readers access to a vast repository of national and international magazines and newspapers.Dr. Maneesha Garg expressed her gratitude on behalf of the University, emphasizing the collaborative efforts that have brought these transformative technologies to fruition.
